Staying on Trend with Modern Hand-Lettering

My work has landed in the hands of celebrated Texas figures like President George Bush and Dak Prescott. And, I’m honored to have been featured in publications like D Weddings and Sports Illustrated Swim. While browsing my website and my Instagram page, you will notice I create a VERY extensive variety of lettering styles! I like to cater to each recipient or brand, while staying on top of trends. Traditional calligraphy uses a specialized dip pen and nib. It’s made to create the unique strokes that define the art form. However, modern calligraphers like myself have adapted to using a variety of other writing tools as well. Each tool achieves different effects and styles. And I love the challenge of writing on a variety of surfaces besides paper. It’s truly amazing to see how versatile hand-lettering can be! Prior to becoming a professional calligrapher, I spent my free hours sketching and painting. From chalkboard lettering to fashion illustration to contemporary painting, I’ve done it all.
